7th Annual Healthy Food Pantry Drive
Huge thanks to EB Insurance along with our Board of Health, Lavallee Wellness and Central School ... teaming up to collect items for the East Bridgewater food distribution centers.
E. Bridgewater Central School children collected over 5,000 food and pantry items. These generous donations were brought to their classrooms for a slightly competitive competition and then delivered to local community food pantries.
For 7 years Central School families have come together for this important event to help make it successful. The East Bridgewater & St. Paul Food Pantries appreciate your generosity!
If you need a hand, please contact:
EB Emergency Food Pantry
Distributions: 2nd Wednesday from 12:30 - 2pm and last Saturday from 9:30 - 11 am

The Beginning of Television
|
In the late 1940's, a Boston Television station sent a crew to explain to an assembly of High School students the new invention of the television. Many people could not still afford to buy a new set, so on a warm night they would walk down to the local appliance store, Swanson and Wallin and watch the TV's in the window.

The Wilds
I am a big fan of Bren
é
Brown. A sociologist and writer, her insights into vulnerability and acceptance took her from Ted Talks to her own Netflix special.
As we head into "the season," it is her thoughts on developing a "strong back, soft front and wild heart" from
Braving the Wilderness
that resonates.
Sometimes, being in relationship is painful, any kind of relationship. If we are invested, we risk getting hurt. We need a strong back to set healthy boundaries and limits for ourselves. Be kind to yourself.
Then we can have a soft heart... arms wide open for hugs.
Wild heart: "...living out the paradox of love in our lives. Its the ability to be tough and tender, excited and scared, brave and afraid- all in the same moment." (p. 155)
|
Its a tension we struggle with. Being aware of pain and experiencing joy. Dr. Brown's point is that if we don't have joy and love, we can't give it away. Cultivate joy and love for yourself., make sure your own needs are being met... then you will have it to give away. Enjoy your week!
~ Jacquie
