If there is no room for your car, please continue to drive down until you can find a dropping off spot that can fit your car. Reminder: if you stop and wait for the nearest spot, this will disrupt the traffic behind you. This tends to block the crossing lanes on both Brimhurst and Parkway Plaza.
Additionally, please do not allow your children to exit your car if you are not on the curb side of Brimhurst.

Counselors' Corner
Dear Parents,
We can likely all agree that these are difficult times to be navigating raising kids. With all they see on television, in the media, and on their phones - the information coming at them is often too much for their maturity levels to handle. As parents, we hope our children know they can come to us with any questions or concerns but the reality is we can all think of situations where talking to mom or dad might have just been too uncomfortable. It is so important that our children have other adults who we parents know share our values and who would lead them in the right direction if they were to reach out. I hope you enjoy the attached article and I encourage you to see who your child's "5" are. I asked my four kids this week for their "5" and although they agreed on a #1 (our best friends) - their other four names varied. They listed teachers, school counselors, neighbors, and friends' parents. It warmed my heart that all of them were great choices. If your child doesn't have a solid "5," please sit down and help them generate a list of adults who are there for them. Ms. Quinlan and I are more than happy to be considered!

God's Blessings,
Betty Costantini

StJPII will honor Grandparents and Special Friends on the Friday before Thanksgiving break, November 22. StJPII families, please share the date with your grandparents and special friends. We are looking forward to celebrating this occasion with our extended family! The format will be similar to previous years, featuring performances by elementary students, our middle school chorale and the 7th/8th grade band.

Formal invitations have been mailed. All invitations are mailed to the grandparents address listed on the back to school forms. We will have a few extra invitations on hand that can be picked up at the front desk at the end of month. Please remember that Grandparents Day is a day for grandparents and special friends only - rest assured that every year we have children who do not have a grandparent or special friend attend, and they enjoy the day and do just fine! Our students are great about sharing their special guests with classmates whose grandparents cannot attend. Our Cross Country teams are CHAMPIONS! Both the Girls and Boys division won the GHCAA Championship last Thursday that was held at HBU and our kiddos took home the GHCAA Championship trophy!
Football attended the GCFL "Day of Champions" this past Saturday as the #2 seed in their division! They played Legacy Christian and despite our Saints incredible offense and defense played throughout the entire game, the last 2 minutes of play gave Legacy Christian the win. Overall our Varsity Saints finished 2-4, and Coach Porth said he could not be more proud of their effort, sportsmanship, and dedication to each other throughout the entire season.

Soccer is the #1 seed in our district going into the GHCAA playoffs! We had a "bye" to start the playoffs so our next game is the qtr finals to be played here at HOME on Wednesday, October 23 at 4:30, if we win we then go to the semi finals Friday again here at HOME, and Championship Saturday at Strake! Again it is single elimination so pray for wins!
Our Lady Saints Volleyball teams participated in the St. Pius Volleyball tournament last weekend and our Varsity Navy team tied for 3rd while JV took 2nd place! They continued their week with some very tough games throughout the week! They defeated SFDS and Magnolia, then traveled to Pearland to play St. Helen's where they had great competition, C team had a loss, JV had a TERRIFIC win, and Varsity had a tough narrow loss! Despite the scores our Lady Saints played with respect and great support for their teammates and we are so very proud of them!
