LUTHER LEAGUE HANGOUT
Calling all Middle School and High School Youth!
We are having a Luther League Hangout THIS SUNDAY, October 18 immediately following outdoor worship. We're going to play some "social distance" games, catch up and learn a little about our plan to UPDATE THE UNDERGROUND and how you can participate in the process!
JONES/JOYNER MUSIC FUND
The Jones/Joyner Music Scholarship Fund honors the outstanding ministries of two individuals: Larry Jones and Vernon Joyner. Both led Bethel's music ministry. The fund was established after Larry's sudden passing in the late 1990s, to support modest scholarships for university music students to play during worship and provide funds to add musicians for special services. When Vernon Joyner retired, the fund was rededicated in recognition of his tremendous contribution to our music program. Through the generosity of the congregation, this fund has brought us many talented musicians who have enhanced our worship music each Sunday.
Our current Jones/Joyner scholars are flutist Charlene Romano and bassist Alex Kimble.
The Jones/Joyner Music Scholarship Fund enables our music ministry to consistently provide quality music offerings in and outside of our regular worship gatherings. As the holidays approach, your continued donations to this fund will ensure that we can provide special music for the season. Would you consider making a one-time or continued donation to support our music ministry?
Checks can be made payable to Bethel with "Jones/Joyner Fund" in the memo. Thank you for your continued support of music at Bethel.
