August Edition

August is in full swing and is proving to be yet another busy month at The Arc. Exciting new developments have everyone on their toes, including the opening of a new home in Marshfield that supports people with Acquired Brain Injuries who have moved back to their home community from a skilled nursing facility. Welcome home everyone!

We’ve also been hard at work on the resumption of safe, in-person support services for people served in our Agency with Choice, Individual Home Support, Shared Living and Adult Family Care services. Additionally, our Day Programs are slated to re-open on a very limited basis (see article below) during Phase 1 of The Arc's Day Services Reopening Plan.

Lastly, we are wrapping up an in-depth strategic planning process which provided countless employees, Board members, family members and people receiving support the opportunity to offer their unique perspectives and insights regarding the direction of the organization. Everyone’s input will inevitably prove invaluable in the development of a comprehensive plan to guide the organization through the next 12 months. Planning is critical during good times – but essential during these trying times.

Please enjoy the remaining weeks of summer and we’ll be in touch soon.

Sincerely,
Mary Valachovic
Executive Director

New ABI Home Opens in Marshfield

In August we were thrilled to open this lovely home in Marshfield. Supporting people with ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) this home is conveniently located close to all the community of Marshfield has to offer.

We are hard at work preparing for the opening of three additional homes supporting people with ABI…more on that to come!
Day Program Reopening

It’s been a long 5-months, and now the Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod is excited to welcome a small group of people back to our Day Programs during Phase 1 of our reopening plan!
