The House may vote on the legislation by voice vote on Friday, March 27. The House is likely to approve the bill by unanimous consent, thus avoiding the need to call back lawmakers to the Capitol for a vote.
Following the House vote on the legislation, both chambers are expected to recess until April 20. Although, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has stated that the Senate will return if needed to address technical corrections to the CARES Act or to consider additional coronavirus-related legislation.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) released
guidance
on the application process for submitting reimbursement requests through FEMA’s Public Assistance (PA) grant program for the COVID-19-related emergency and disaster
declarations
. As previously reported, local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for PA assistance for “Category B” activities. FEMA previously released a

on which Category B activities would be eligible for reimbursement for COVID-19-related emergency and disaster declarations.

notice on the implementation of regulations
under the
Families First Coronavirus Response Act
.
