Several Alexandria congregations support ATC
, and we are grateful. One of the three founders of ATC was a pastor at the Old Presbyterian Meeting House; 20-plus years ago he encouraged other congregations to join a consortium supporting this “upstart” program to address literacy needs in Alexandria.
Many of these congregations continue to support ATC today by making donations and/or recruiting tutors: St. Paul's, Immanuel Church-on-the-Hill, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Christ Church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Fairlington UMC, Grace Episcopal, Beth El Hebrew Congregation, and of course the Old Presbyterian Meeting House which supplies donations, tutors, and free office space and support to ATC. If your congregation is not on the list, please reach out to Executive Director Lisa Jacobs to explore ways to connect ATC to your faith community.
