This virtual lecture will trace Wright’s career as a Japanese art collector, as an architect working in Tokyo, and the life-long impact of Japanese architecture and gardens on his designs for American homes.

Cranbrook House, the Conservatory Greenhouse, and our restrooms will remain closed for the season. As a cost-saving measure, all campus fountains and water features will not be running this year. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Fall 2020 Academic Plans
Cranbrook Academy of Art and Cranbrook Schools are planning to return to in-person instruction for their fall semesters. Our commitment to the welfare of our students and providing an extraordinary education remains at the forefront of our plans. We will continue to follow recommendations by the CDC and State of Michigan and are taking proactive measures to keep our students and campus safe. Reopening plans for each institution are available on their respective websites.
