Greetings from your CO AMTA Board

We've missed all of you so much these past few months.  We are still working (virtually) for the needs of our chapter and trying very hard to get Colorado events back up and running.  Stay tuned for when we are able to get back to seeing and being with all our members. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces soon.

Be sure to follow updates on our AMTA Colorado facebook page!!

Many things are in the works with your Government Relations Team & CCMT.

Your GR/CCMT team has been working on keeping you informed and up-to-date on information as quickly as we receive information.  Be sure to stay connected with us on our AMTA Colorado facebook page.  This is the best way to stay connected quickly on updates on our State GR information, since it changes very quickly.  If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to Tami Schumacher, our AMTA Government Relations Director, by email at

Education Update:

Since we've been having to cancel our events from our State Convention in April and our Fall Education (which was to be this weekend), we are looking at future options for our members.  Hopefully, we will have
in-person education events soon....we are looking at possible smaller options to serve our members also.  Please reach out to our education director, Troy Lavigne [email protected], if you have any educators or topics you'd like to see us bring to our chapter events.  Watch our AMTA CO facebook page for education updates.  In the meantime, know that there are some free online education options available from National AMTA website.  National AMTA Continuing Education

Stay tuned!!!

Currently our Meet and Greets have been held in Colorado Springs, Denver/Lakewood, and Fort Collins/Loveland. Interested in holding a Coffee Pod/Meet and Greet in your area? (Looking at you, Pueblo, Grand Junction/Western Slope, and Eastern Colorado!) Let us know! We would love to see more therapists get together post-Corona, and perhaps virtually!

Volunteer - We Need Your Help
Volunteer Opportunities:

We have many opportunities to volunteer for your CO AMTA Chapter.  Most of the volunteer opportunities would take a very small amount of your time, please consider helping us.

Here are just a few areas we are in need of your help:
- Facebook Assistants (2):  Someone to post a fun/engaging post once a week and another to post various massage articles
- Website Editors:  Someone to update our website from information posted on facebook and board members.
- Proofreaders:  Someone to check newsletters/eblasts prior to sending them to members.
- Newsletter/Eblasts - to put information from the chapter board into an eblast to go out to members
- Education Committee - many opportunities to get involved and parts are divided up from looking for venues/hotels/educators, registration, set up, take down, meals, etc.
- CMT Coordinator - Community Massage Team Coordinator organizes events and volunteers to massage at the events.  Works with a team of volunteers also.
- Meet & Greet Volunteers &/or Group leaders - If interested in organizing a group in your area for a gathering (coffee/beer/etc) or interested in helping the organizer in your area.
- BOD Positions - Next election is April 2021, if interested in getting any information on various positions for the Colorado Board of Directors or to see what positions will be available.
