Great Things Are Happening at
Community Lodgings LINK Club
The Community Lodgings staff enjoys each day we get to spend with your child after school. We thrive to always provide a welcoming and nurturing environment where students feel safe and supported while receiving academic support from ACPS teachers, participating in hands-on activities with peers, and learning a new skill!
Book Clubs Excite Students About Reading
In partnership with The Spitfire Club, a local community partner, students at Community Lodgings participate in weekly Book Clubs that make reading exciting and fun. Together, the students read, discuss what has happened, identify new vocabulary, and make predictions about what will happen next in the story. The use of games, teamwork, and activities during the book clubs also help reinforce themes and concepts from what the students read while supporting creativity and helping to build community.

Daily attendance at LINK Club is important to ensure your child receives all the benefits of this program. Please be reminded that your child must attend 4-5 days per week. If your child does not attend regularly, s/he risks being removed from the program to allow an opportunity for other students in need who are on the waitlist. If your child is sick or needs to be absent from LINK Club for other reasons, please just let us know.
DON’T FORGET YOUR MASK
Due to the increase in COVID cases, we are encouraging families to have their children wear a disposable surgical face mask instead of a cloth mask at LINK Club.
Masks should always fit snuggly over the mouth and nose.
