Staff Pick of the Month: Strawberry
Meet Strawberry!
Strawberry came to HSC from another organization and spent some time with an awesome foster mom while he underwent heartworm treatment. He is on the mend now and looking for his forever home.
Strawberry loves belly rubs, snuggling on the couch while watching the Great British Baking Show, and little kids and babies. He does great in public settings and never meets a stranger - especially if they offer to scratch that belly!

Calling all volunteers! Kick off the holiday season by helping those in need and j
oin the Humane Society of Charlotte on Saturday, December 14 as we deliver straw to our iBuild clients.
Why straw? Straw does not retain moisture and doesn't mold, so it stays clean and healthy, while providing warm insulation in outdoor dog and cat houses!
Any and all volunteers are welcome - bonus if you have a pick-up truck to help us make deliveries!

he Humane Society of Charlotte is now offering Pop-Up Dog Training Classes to help pet owners in Charlotte! Led by our Intake and Behavior Programs Manager, Zach Boerboom, you and your pet will spend 90 minutes learning the basics of common behavior issues. Make sure to sign up for your spot on November 16: Basic Manners for the Holidays and on November 23: Dog Play styles, Introductions and Socialization.
More classes will continue in 2020!

Community Cats Program: Winter Cat Shelter Build
Want to help keep outdoor cats warm this winter? Join us for our Second Annual Winter Cat Shelter Workshop on Saturday, December 7, 2019.
The event is free and family-friendly! Participants should bring one 30-gallon plastic tote with a lid for each shelter you’d like to build. All other tools and materials will be provided. You can choose to keep your shelter or donate it back to HSC.

Winter Cat Shelter Build
Saturday, December 7, 2019 | 1 pm - 3 pm
HSC Spay/Neuter Clinic Parking Lot | 2646 Toomey Avenue
Join the Humane Society of Charlotte to learn how to make outdoor winter cat shelters for local community cats.
All participants must bring their own 30-gallon plastic tote, with lid, for each shelter you want to build. All other supplies will be supplied by HSC. When finished, all participants can choose to either take their completed shelter home with them for their outdoor cats, or donate them to HSC, and we will get them out to community cat caretakers in need.
This event is free, open to the public, and family-friendly.
