Volleyball Clinches First ODAC Championship Crown in Program History
For the first time in program history, the Virginia Wesleyan University volleyball team was crowned champions of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) as the team defeated top-seeded Randolph-Macon, 3-1 (25-17, 15-25, 25-17, 29-27), on the road Saturday evening. With the victory, the Marlins move to 28-7 on the season and earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Championship.

Five From Volleyball Tabbed All-ODAC; Hoover-Erbig Named Coach of the Year
Five members of Virginia Wesleyan University volleyball team were named to the 2019 All-Conference Teams by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC). Amber Matalus earned a spot on the First Team while Greta Coss was an All-ODAC Second Team Selection. Lauren Topper, Alyssa Taylor and Haley Sutton were all named to the Third Team. Also receiving recognition for her performance was Coach Andrea Hoover-Erbig who was tabbed the conference's Coach of the Year.

Women's Soccer Falls in PKs in ODAC Championship Final
The Virginia Wesleyan University women's soccer team fell to Randolph-Macon in penalty kick shootout Sunday afternoon in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship Final. With the result, the Marlins record moves to 13-3-4 on the season.

Men's Basketball Hits Century Mark in Season Opener
The Virginia Wesleyan University men's basketball team opened up its season with a 109-61 victory over Pfieffer University on Saturday in the Jane P. Batten Student Center. With the result, the Marlins move to 1-0 on the year while the Falcons drop to 0-1.

Two Records Broken as Marlins Earn a Win at Lynchburg Quad
The Virginia Wesleyan University men's swimming team picked up one win at the Lynchburg Quad meet on Saturday, taking down Southern Virginia University 108-94. The team would fall to Hampden-Sydney 178-63 as well as Lynchburg 202-37.

Women's Swimming Picks Up Two Wins at Lynchburg Quad
The Virginia Wesleyan University women's swim team came out victorious in two of its three head-to-head results Saturday afternoon at the Lynchburg Quad Meet held at Liberty University. The Marlins dropped Sweet Briar 140-100 as well as Southern Virginia University, 138-81, but fell to host Lynchburg 186-58.
