Newest First3Years Team Member!
Please join us in welcoming First3Years' newest team member, Joyelle "Joy" Gaines! A recent graduate of Baylor University earning her Master of Social Work, Joy's studies, internships, and employment experiences have focused around child development, clinical mental health education and counseling, empowerment with women and girls, and racial diversity & equity leadership. We are thrilled to have her join our team as Community Systems Coordinator in Houston! 

IMH Advocacy Award Conference

The 2020 Infant Mental Health Advocacy Award Conference will provide a wealth of knowledge and skills building to professionals in the early childhood field.

The morning keynote will be presented by Joshua Sparrow, MD, Executive Director, Brazelton Touchpoints Center, as he will discuss Conversation on Culturally Responsive Trauma Informed Practices During and After COVID-19.

The afternoon session will host a variety of panelists to discuss the impacts of COVID-19 in early childhood and steps towards recovery across sectors. Panelists include: Nicole Allen, Child Care Contract Manager, Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County; Ximena Antunez de Mayolo, Program Officer, Rainwater Charitable Foundation; Shalyn Bravens, Director of Family Connects and MIECHV, United Way for Greater Austin, & Tonyel Edwards, Program Officer, Houston Endowment.
 
The closing keynote, Ebonyse Mead, Ed.D., CFLE, President, Educational Equity Institute, will discuss Promoting Equity through Racial Healing.

Baby Day will be a week-long bonding and delight experience offering live streamed and on-demand activities & resources for caregivers and very young children.
