We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate the
challenging circumstances related to the coronavirus. We are all operating in
unknown territory right now, and we are working as quickly as we can to keep you updated and address your questions.

At the Eugene Family YMCA, everything we do is guided by our commitment to support our community, and this is even more critical now. When you belong to the Y, you are not only a member of a health and wellness facility, you are a member of an organization dedicated to strengthening our community. In trying times, your Y pivots in response to community needs, and finds ways to use our resources to offer solutions.

We are currently keeping our doors closed until May 1. The goal is to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 cases like the ones that we are seeing in other parts of the world. We will monitor the evolving crisis to determine if our reopening date needs to be extended further.

In the meantime, we are asking you to  STAND WITH YOUR Y.

Please consider keeping your membership active so we can keep our community together and vibrant during these significant challenges. Your dues allow us to provide emergency child care to medical professionals and other essential workers, offer online fitness classes to our members and provide work-from-home options to our staff while they make calls to check on the welfare and needs of our members.

It goes without saying that the coronavirus has created enormous uncertainty. However, how we respond is within our control. As soon as we realized the severity of the situation, we mobilized to explore ways your Y could help our community.  You play a vital role in helping us deploy these services and serve our community by CONTINUING your membership.

Should you choose to keep your membership active, please know how deeply grateful we are for your generosity.
We also understand that you may not be able to maintain your dues; and naturally, we will place your membership on hold at no cost during this time.

If you wish to make changes to the status of your membership, please email [email protected] or leave a message at 541.686.9622. Please contact us by Monday, March 30, for changes to your April membership status.

Maintaining your membership dues isn't the only way to  STAND WITH YOUR Y:
  • If your Y membership is a benefit of a health insurance program like Silver & Fit or Renew Active, you might consider making a donation to the Y in its place since your Y will not receive reimbursement from these programs during the closure. You can donate online HERE

  • Consider donating all or part of your federal stimulus dollars if approved by the federal government

  • Pick up the monthly membership dues for another Y member who lost their job and is forced to cancel their membership

  • Make a one time or recurring donation HERE
Now more than ever, your Y needs you to stand beside us on this journey. Together, we can accomplish great things!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Standing with our community,
Brian Steffen
CEO
Eugene Family YMCA

Thank you for your foresight and vision.
