"Sharing Christ's Love with the Greatest Number of People"
Redeemer Lutheran Church
January 14, 2022

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!
When our Health Equity Ministry Team met this week we started our meeting with words of gratitude to the members and friends of Redeemer. We are able to keep our building open each week for worship, Faith Formation, and other events due to everyone’s cooperation. Thank you for being so flexible and so understanding.

Some of the things we decided this week include:
1) to maintain our current protocols of wearing our masks (for anyone over the age of 2 no matter their vaccination status) when inside our building and when in worship,
2) to maintain social distancing,
3) to keep our hospitality table outside (dress warm) unless the weather prohibits it,
4) to resume Faith Formation, Confirmation, and High School classes for those who are ready to return.

Signing up for worship services is very important right now because of the way that we are distributing Holy Communion. We want to have enough of the elements (communion hosts and wine/grape juice) for everyone who comes.

In Christ - Pastor Sandy Kessinger

Important News
Pathway Out of Poverty in Northern Virginia - Today – 3:30 pm
In this second event of the Pathways series, the leaders will examine key barriers to escaping poverty in Northern Virginia: financial illiteracy and high-cost borrowing. See the attached for details. There is still time to register.

Annual Congregational Meeting – Sunday, February 6 – 12 pm
For our annual meeting in February we will offer a hybrid model. The meeting will start at 12 pm. For voting members who attend worship in-person we hope that you will be able to stay for the meeting. We will also have a Zoom option for those voting members who want to connect with us from their homes. Details on how that will work will be forthcoming.
