GRAR Member Update
Thursday, March 26, 2020
Hello all,

Until further notice, GRAR will be sending these updates to members every afternoon. The updates will include new information related to the business of real estate under the NYS on PAUSE order. The updates will be emailed to you and can also be found on the:

NEW MATRIX FIELDS
When in - person showings are off the table, and your property owner would like to offer video showings using a video conferencing solution like FaceTime, Zoom, GoToMeeting, join.me or other similar tools, we have some options to assist with this in Matrix and/or via ShowingTime.

A Virtual Open House is a way to still pick a date and a time for the open house, and then provide a link to the web live version of the open house. This is not in person; all attendees are attending via a provided link.

A Virtual Showing requires an appointment, a request for feedback, tracking and reporting, and can be used with your ShowingTime account. Again, this is not in person and all attendees are attending via a provided link.

The new fields are:

1. In Add/edit for Open House, we added " Virtual " to the Open House Type pick-list.

2. Also in Open House, we added a new field called “ Virtual Open House URL ” that would be required only if “ Virtual ” is selected under Open House Type .

3. In Add/edit for the Listing, we added a value to the Showing Instructions pick-list called “ Virtual Showing ”.
A FEW REMINDERS DURING THIS TIME OF PAUSE
  • While the NYS on PAUSE order is in effect, all REALTORS® should be working virtually.

  • GRAR is in regular contact with NYSAR as both organizations seek clarification from New York State on activities such as closings, final walk-throughs, surveys, etc. We will share the information we get from the state with you as soon as we receive it.

  • During this time, as always, the MLS Rules and the Code of Ethics are in place for all to follow. In addition, as licensed professionals, all REALTORS® are bound by New York State laws. Although this situation is different than usual, if you are practicing within the guidelines of the MLS Rules, Code of Ethics, and the State of New York, we will all get through this and be serving the public to the best of our ability.
GRAR will continue to monitor the situation closely.

Please visit the GRAR Coronavirus page for all updates and other related information. Thank you.
