The h ealth and safety of our community is our primary concern and we hope you're all following the  guidelines and recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention .

Please read on to learn how we can support one another in this journey.
A MESSAGE FROM THE
GENERAL MANAGER OF CENTERRA
Across our community, country and world, we are all facing uncertainty and unforeseen challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But we can maintain one certainty: the power of community will prevail. Over the past several weeks, we have all transitioned from our daily routines to finding a new rhythm to our days. In this time, where we must continue to keep our health and safety a top priority and practice social spacing, I believe it can be a moment that bring us closer together. While our physical movements are limited, through the miracle of technology our parents, children, grandchildren and friends are all just a video call away. Somehow we feel closer to our loved ones right now.

At Centerra, we are seeing evidence of the kindness and compassion of the individuals who make up our community. We are all pulling together to support each other during this challenging time and here are a few ways you can join us:
  • Grab a piece of chalk and leave your neighbors an uplifting message. Or snag a post-it note and leave a positive message on a front door.
  • Write a letter and draw a picture to be included in our Virtual Community Cares Box (see below).
  • With proper social distance, check in on an elderly neighbor and see if they need anything.
  • Socially connect and let us know how you are doing and what you and your family are up to.
  • Donate blood. There's a shortage and it's completely safe.
Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by COVID-19: those diagnosed or not feeling well; the healthcare professionals working on the front lines to take care of our community; those whose jobs and education have been affected; and those separated from family and loved ones. We are reminded now more than ever of what truly matters most and what inspires us as a community. Centerra cares and we are in this together, one day at a time.

Until we can come together physically, please stay safe. Participate in building community in your own way and stay connected. Enjoy your community and thank you for being a part of our journey.

Sincerely,

David Crowder
General Manager of Centerra
LET'S MAKE A DIFFERENCE
SUPPORT LOCAL
If you are able, please consider supporting
our  restaurant and retail neighbors

Dining rooms might be closed, but Centerra restaurants are open for business and ready to provide carryout, curbside and delivery options.  We've partnered with our dining neighbors to bring you a go-to list of current options, deals and hours at Centerra.
DONATE BLOOD
Please consider contributing due to community shortage

UCHealth's Garth Englund Blood Center is short on donations, because many of the public blood drives have been cancelled. The Center is requesting community members interested in making a donation to please call to schedule an appointment. The Center has locations in both Loveland and Fort Collins:

UCHealth has many safety parameters around donating blood, to provide for the safety of both, donors, collectors, and blood recipients, including the following message: "Despite the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, it is still safe to donate and receive blood," according to the Food and Drug Administration. Donors will be required to undergo screening measures to be cleared to donate.
VIRTUAL COMMUNITY CARES BOX

Do you and the kids have cabin fever? Tired of feeling disconnected? We invite you to participate in our Virtual Community Cares Box: we are seeking thank yous and words of encouragement for medical staff and positive sentiments for the elderly currently isolated in nursing homes.

Oh, and let's not forget about the High Plains School and Mountain View High School teachers, too! We know your students are missing their teachers, friends and learning environment, so let's encourage kiddos to send a note, photo or drawn image to their teachers to share what they are up to during break. Please be sure to include your child's first name, school, grade and teacher's name so we can organize and deliver accordingly.

All typed and handwritten letters, photos and drawings can be sent via email to [email protected] or direct messaged via our Facebook page. Simply snap a photo with your phone to send it along to Centerra. We'll collect all the community sentiments and deliver them in the coming weeks. Depending on the current situation we will deliver them in person or virtually. Please submit your items before 9AM, Thursday, March 26th.
STAY ACTIVE!

Staying active, in both mind and body, can help reduce stress during times like this. While going to the gym may not be an option, there are lots of great alternatives! Here are some community ideas worth exploring while we keep our safe social distance.
