As I scroll through my calendar, I find a menagerie of special events coming up like the Raise Up Families Fall Festival, Trunk or Treat, School Sunday, Ten Great Dates, Evensong, Parent Groups, Betweeners, Thanksgiving Eucharist, Advent, etc.  I think sometimes these wonderful events call a lot of our attention as we plan our calendars and commitments, and understandably as they are meaningful and often fun.  That said, I find I may forget to highlight the "normal" things we do together.

Our adult Sunday school class this past Sunday with Korey was fantastic.  He taught about how to read the beginning of Genesis in a way I had never thought of before.  Our children's Sunday school has more than 30 regular attendees and the new Story Makers curriculum we are using is not only beautiful, but really engaging for our kiddos.  As our Time and Talent portion of stewardship wraps up, we have all kinds of new engagement in our ministry, like our 19 new acolytes this year.  And, at the heart of everything we do is our worship.  It has been wonderful to have the choir back and my fellow clergy have been working deeply on their sermons.

The normal things we do anchor everything else we do and all our programs are rooted in gathering in Jesus' name to hear the Good News and feast on God's grace together.  I pray that worship moves you ever closer to knowing how much God loves you and all the things we get to do together brings joy to your life and encourages you in your relationships.

May God bless us as we continue on this journey together!

See you in church,

Stewardship 2020
Stewardship 2020
Stewardship 2020
Yo ur  Holy Spirit  Stewardship Committee   has been celebrating all of the Time and Talent pledge cards that have been coming in.  The many ways that so many of you have voiced an interest and/or a call for ministry has been very moving and because of your commitment to our parish, our ministry this year will continue to thrive.

In the weeks ahead, we will be inviting you to turn your prayers and attention to the other part of our annual stewardship which is essential in growing together in ministry, our Treasure pledges. If you need an additional card or packet in anticipation of making your pledge, please contact us in the office.  One note, as previously mentioned, the cards that went out with the initial packet were missing a "Name" line.  So please write your name on your card, or grab a new card that has the name line added.

If   you have any  stewardship  questions contact  our Stewardship Chair,  Bob King ,  at  bobking84@yahoo.com .

If you have not received a stewardship packet, please let us know and we will make sure to have one ready for you.

November 11 @  5:00 pm
Nave

Reception to follow in Palmer Parish Hall

Childcare will be available during the event.

Evensong, sometimes called Evening Prayer, is one of the most ancient services of the Anglican Church, dating back to the very first Book of Common Prayer produced by Thomas Cranmer in 1547. It can be entirely spoken, partially sung by the congregation (called "Sung Evensong") or completely sung by the choir with participation of the congregation (called "Choral Evensong"). It is that service we will celebrate on this evening. You will experience congregational hymns; psalms, canticles, and anthems sung by the choir; prayers sung by the clergy, choir, and congregation; and music from the organ.

If you would like to volunteer at Evensong, please contact Stephen Morris at  sjaymorris@hotmail.com.

It is a tool that helps us to shape the path between our relationships with ourselves and one another, and the path in our relationship with God.
