Dear St. Francis of Assisi School Parents and Guardians,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones. We welcome back to campus our virtual students who are choosing the hybrid option for Trimester 2. For those who have not participated in morning carline, please complete our screening app and show the green screen to the staff member who will check your student's temperature with a touchless thermometer. Blue cohort will be in the classrooms tomorrow and green cohorts will be in the tents. Based on the morning temperatures this week, students are welcome to bring blankets in the tents. Tardies will begin for Trimester 2 at 8:05 am. All iPads must be 100% charged when students arrive on campus daily.
Over the break, we have been working with the California Department of Public Health, Orange County Health Department, and the Diocesan Office of Schools regarding further clarification of the updated mask policy as many parents have expressed concerns with this new requirement. Since we are awaiting further clarification this week, I am suspending enforcement of the "required" masks for three year olds through Second Grade, until further guidance is provided. Look for communication over the next few days.
We have entered the cold and flu season. Some families may have travelled out of the state and/or country. We ask that all of our staff and families practice good discernment when we return from the holidays. If you or any family member has any cold and/or flu symptoms, please utilize our virtual option and consult with your family physician before returning to campus. If you or any family member is in the process of testing for Covid-19, please keep your students home for virtual learning and provide testing results to [email protected] so that we can work together to keep each other healthy.
