Leaders in Mentoring

Our award-winning mentoring program is key to providing Adelphi’s life-changing opportunities to all students. We help our students define their own success and nurture their goals with exceptional programs that support continued learning, personal growth, professional development and career advancement.
Interdisciplinary Innovation

We are breaking down the traditional one-class, one-professor model in courses like Race 360 and Water 360. Adelphi’s interpretation of this innovative trend gives students a chance to see a single subject from varying fascinating perspectives. For undecided students, 360 courses offer fresh insight and new options for college careers. Image by Jenna Ventura ’21
A University Center for 2022

One year ago this month, we opened the doors to a completely reimagined Ruth S. Harley University Center that fits the needs of the evolving college campus. Our new UC is expansive, beautiful and sustainable—modernized for today’s student, scholar and visitor. It is accessible and welcoming to all and already making a huge impact on us.
First in New York on Amazon Prime

Next month, Adelphi will become the first New York college or university featured on the Amazon Prime TV show The College Tour. Watch this high-impact campus tour and the stories of 10 of our students in STEM, arts and humanities, and healthcare, and professions like teaching and business. It’s sure to inspire current and future Panthers.
Adelphi is making local, national and global news:

  • In a recent U.S. News & World Report article, Mariano Torras, PhD, professor and chair of finance and economics, says stagflation in the U.S. economy is “not unlikely” in the future.
  • Chronicle of Higher Education story featuring Carol Lucas, MSW ’02, PhD ’13, of Adelphi's Student Counseling Center, talks about the rising need for campus mental health support.
  • Newsday announced that Adelphi President Christine M. Riordan, PhD, is among the members of the transition team for Nassau County Executive-elect Bruce Blakeman.

“Pindar (Vineyards) joining Local 388 RWDSU/UFCW is the start of a wave of labor successes for New York state farmworkers. The effects of this momentous decision have already been felt.”
—Maggie Gray, PhD, associate professor of political science, in a commentary she wrote for La Voz about the official establishment of New York's first agricultural workers union. She also contributed to an op-ed on a related topic in The Buffalo News.
