State assessments will not be remote this spring. These include STAAR, STAAR EOC, STAAR Alternate 2 and TELPAS. Remote students who are participating in any of these assessments will be required to come to campus to participate in testing. TEA requires all STAAR assessments to be monitored in person by district staff. TEA has provided districts with longer testing windows for more flexibility in scheduling these exams. This flexibility could mean that students at different campuses may have different testing days. Additionally, students that are quarantined will not be allowed to come to campus on testing days, but make-up testing will be provided upon their return if they return within the testing window.
National School
Nurse Day!
Last week we celebrated National School Nurse Day.
Eubanks is so grateful for Mrs. Moreland and EVERYTHING she has done this year to help our kids when they weren't feeling well, and dealing with a pandemic and its new protocols.
Thank you Nurse Moreland for caring for every cut, bruise, ankle twist, headache, upset tummy and more.
Officer Hill
After many wonderful years of keeping our students safe and sound, Officer Hill is retiring at the end of this school year. Let’s show him how much we love and appreciate him before he goes!
Parents: please invite your student to write a note or letter to Officer Hill with words of encouragement and thanks. During the month of May a decorated box will be in the front hallway at Eubanks (thank you Lauren and Allison Boswell!) for students to place their heartfelt letters and notes at any time. Our favorite SRO can check his mailbox anytime he walks by and will have wonderful sentiments to take with him on his new adventures.
We will miss Officer Hill!
Parents and Students
As temperatures are getting warmer and we are pulling out our shorts and Tshirts, be sure their shorts are long enough and shirts cover their midsections.

*Morning Health Checks*
Parents please check in with your child when doing their daily morning temps to see if they have any symptoms.   If they are complaining of or showing any symptoms, please keep them home and report them to the school.
If you have recently had your child tested for Covid-19 and are awaiting the results (even if they have no symptoms and you are just testing them because they were quarantined) please keep them home until the results are back.

*If you have an ice pack that looks like it belongs to the EIS, please send it to the school with your student.
