Most of you have heard through various news media of the
extension
for the IRS filing and payment deadline from 4/15 to 7/15. This includes balances due for 2019 as well as 4/15/20 first quarter estimates for the 2020 tax year.
At present, the 6/15/20 second quarter estimate has not been addressed. Procedures for additional time to file past the 7/15/20 due date for 2019 are being formulated currently. Most, but not all, states and local income tax districts have conformed with this federal extension (see links below for updated information).
Requirements are changing rapidly and we encourage you to be in contact with your Tax Manager to address any of your questions or concerns.
Although most staff is not working in the office and it is closed to clients for the time being,
we are at your service
and you can reach us via email and in some cases via phone.
We do encourage you to get all your tax information to us as soon as possible in order to file your returns and/or determine your cash outflow for the 7/15 payment.
New information is flowing to us daily and we are waiting for more guidance on IRA and HSA contribution deadlines, as well as any additional extensions. We will do our best to keep you informed . . . and we WILL get through this!
