I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.

From Our Head of School
Dear Prince Families:

The faculty and staff are prepared to receive your children tomorrow, and we are all very excited for our first day of school! In addition to the training of our faculty and staff about how to “lead” and “manage” students (two separate skills) in modifying their behavior to promote increased sanitation standards, our facilities department has done a superb job ensuring our hallways, classrooms, and offices are outfitted and stocked with hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, no-touch thermometers, plexiglass barriers, fogging machines, social distancing signage/floor decals, etcetera. I previously communicated to you that we have made significant investments in specific critical resources to ensure our campus sanitation standards are dramatically increased. I am satisfied our current posture reflects the cleanest campus we have ever had and the procedures to maintain that standard moving forward. The safety of our students, faculty, and staff remains our number one priority.

Thank you for your flexibility with the recent change to our campus reopening plan that now incorporates the use of face coverings as required. While we will start school at Level III (face coverings throughout the day), we will reevaluate that safety level as the week progresses. As a friendly reminder, if you are walking your child to their classroom door tomorrow, please wear a face covering as published in our reopening plan.

My office will continue to communicate with you and provide you with school-wide updates as we begin the school year. I was reminded from the pulpit today that “Life in a fallen world is hard, but life in a fallen world without Jesus is even harder.” We are proceeding deliberately, but with caution. We have Jesus, and we are not afraid. We must continue to focus on our strategic goal, which is to reopen our school and keep it open. The combination of our dedicated and gifted faculty, combined with the quality and compliance level of your children, makes me confident we will achieve our strategic goal.

With warm regards and in His service,
Seth A. Hathaway, Ed.S.

Chaplain's Corner
Dear Parents,

I am beyond excited for the start of our school year on Monday! In Chapel this week, we will be launching our spiritual theme for the 2020-2021 school year: THRIVE. The heart behind this year's theme comes from John 10 where Jesus promises his followers an abundant life.

It's easy to think that life is more fun and more free if we follow our own way, but the Bible paints a very different picture. While it does not mean life is easy or we get everything we think we want, life with God is actually our best life because it is life as God intended. It is the abundant life Jesus promised where we can thrive, and it is only found when we are walking with Jesus and living a life in Christ. My hope for our school this year is that we truly THRIVE and enjoy life following Jesus!
