This Week
A Note from Mtr. Lisa
Dear St. Andrew's,

Due to the rising rates of vaccinations and the declining rate of Covid-19 cases in our community, I was prepared to excitedly announce the lifting of additional Covid-19 restrictions in this newsletter. We have removed the pew ropes for this Sunday's service, and we planned on announcing optional masking in all small group settings (less than 25 people) on campus, including indoors.

And then, the CDC announced that masking requirements could be lifted for vaccinated individuals both indoors and out except in some specific crowded situations.

This is wonderful news, and we will be discussing how the church wants to proceed at our next vestry meeting on Thursday, May 20th. Until then, I hope you will wear a mask in the sanctuary this Sunday... possibly for the last time!

I sincerely hope I will see all of your smiles very soon,

Mtr. Lisa Meirow
7th Sunday of Easter
Join us this Sunday, online or in-person, at 10:30 a.m. as we continue to celebrate the resurrection of Christ!

We will again have a full offertory and will receive communion at the altar rail! For the offertory, please allow the ushers to come to you with the plate. For communion, please wait in your pew until you are directed to stand at the altar rail by an usher. Please keep a comfortable distance between family units.

The number of Covid-19 cases and the positivity rate in Jacksonville has GREATLY improved, but is still serious. We encourage you to join us in person if you feel comfortable, or join us online for as long as you need!

Graduation Sunday!
This Sunday we will celebrating the accomplishments of many graduates in the St. Andrew's family:

Seth Bennett
First Coast High School

Cormac Coughlin
Paxon School for Advanced Studies

Jarrett R Maritato

The Rev. Dcn. Sarah Minton

Adam Slama

This has been an especially challenging year to be finishing up school and we are very proud of all our graduates! Join us Sunday as we pray over these folks and send them out into the world with a gift from their church family.
Godly Play
Godly Play, a Montessori-style children's formation class, is here! Check out a Godly Play story this Sunday on YouTube.
Bible Study Returns to In-Person!

Coffee and Bibles are provided!
Upcoming
Pentecost and Our 60th
is Almost Here!
Pentecost, May 23rd, is always a big deal at St. Andrew's, but this year promises to be even bigger as we will be celebrating 60 years of St. Andrew's in Arlington!

Don't forget to wear your red and join us after the service for a very special reception including some mementoes of our history, cupcakes and punch under the arbor, and maybe even a floating church.

Sarah Graduated!!!
Deacon Sarah did it! Sarah has officially finished up her Masters of Divinity at Duke Divinity School and graduated on May 8th, 2021.

You, the people of St. Andrew's, have been outrageously generous helping Sarah reach this goal. Sarah's seminary account at St. Andrew's is overflowing, and we will be closing out her account this month in order to forward her the remaining amount as a graduation gift, which will surely help in the Minton's move and the beginning of Sarah's ordained ministry.

If you have pledged an amount to support Sarah at seminary, your pledge has been fulfilled! Thank you to all who gave to help raise up another wonderful priest for this Diocese.
