Ms. Alexandra Muniz

Alexandra Muniz joined the department of Chemistry and Physics in the fall of 2018. She received a B.S. and M.S. in Biology from West Texas A&M University in 2012 and 2014, respectively. After obtaining her M.S. degree, Alexandra worked in the area of protein biochemistry research at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. She also served as an instructor of both biology and chemistry at Amarillo College (Amarillo, TX) from 2016-2018. During her time at WT, Ms. Muniz taught Introductory Chemistry, as well as General Chemistry I & II.

Dr. Rex Lee

Dr. Lee joined the Department of Life, Earth, and Environmental Sciences in 2006. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biology from West Texas A&M University, and his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 1996. Over the years at WT, he has taught Anatomy and Physiology, Embryology, Human Pharmacology, and General Biology and served as the pre-pharmacy adviser.


"Dr. Lee was a great colleague, and everyone in the Department of Life, Earth, & Environmental Sciences will miss him greatly. He was very enjoyable to work with and was always eager to help the department, college, and university in any way he could. He was a real favorite with the students, who greatly appreciated his knowledge, teaching skills, wit, and caring attitude. We all wish him the very best for the future."
