We are pleased to announce a collaboration between Historic Wickford (HistWick) and the NK Free Library. Back in 1990, HistWick had the wonderful idea to record oral histories of some longtime North Kingstown residents at the Wickford Arts Festival.

The old VHS tapes are in the process of being converted to digital files and hosted on the library's website for its historic collection. The first interview is of Ken Mumford, who was known for operating a horse and carriage lawn mowing service despite being legally blind, and can be viewed here.

Check back soon for more interviews and also be sure to visit HistWick's website to hear more recently recorded oral histories.
