Westpark Family Game Night Fun
Our PTA put on a fun Family Game Night on November 15th. Students and their families were able to play board games with friends and family. If you weren't able to join us this time, don't worry they will be having another Family Game Night in January. Thank you to our PTA for putting together another amazing event!
WES Wildcat After School Program
Some of our amazing ASP students were randomly chosen to participate in a Fine Dining Experience provided by our SKUSD Child Nutrition Department. It was a yummy time enjoyed by all!
Wildcat have PRIDE!
Check out our new Positive Behavior Expectation Matrix below! The Matrix is a list of behaviors we expect all of our Widcats to show each day here at Westpark. Our PRIDE Behavior Expectation Matrix gives specific examples of how we expect our students to behave in every area of our school. Students that are seen doing something that is an amazing example of these expectations will earn a Wildcat PRIDE Award (Similar to the golden ticket used the last few years).

In previous years our teachers chose their Student of the Month Award winners based off of a monthly character trait. This year our teachers will be choosing a student each month that shows his or her PRIDE the most in all areas of our school.

We will have PRIDE posters in all areas of the school to remind students of what is expected of them.

A Message from Ms. Lacey
December is here! Cooler temperatures… disappearing daylight. The upcoming weeks can become quite overwhelming as families prepare for family gatherings, special travels, and perhaps some shopping outings in preparation for special traditions. As much as we’d all like to feel that we are organized and well-prepared for the upcoming weeks, each family deals with the stress of the holidays in different ways. Routines often fall to the wayside along with daily reading practices, consistent homework support, and even family meals. At times families need to make a concerted effort to see that the rush and stresses of the holiday season do not seep into their child’s daily routine and need for consistency.

We at Westpark wish everyone a wonderful holiday season!
