CAMPBELL RIVER: Bob Bray, proponent of the province-wide petition titled "Initiative to Allow the Voluntary Formation of Twenty Charter Schools", announces that today is the final day for canvasser applications.
Final Day for Canvasser Applications
The application form needs to be printed today, Monday, November 11 and then filled in and signed.

Then it needs to be placed in a Canada Post mail box early enough to be included in the mail pickup on Tuesday.

This will give me time to receive it in Thursday's mail, approve it and submit it to Elections BC.
Correction - independent School Formation
When starting an independent school the registration with an association is voluntary and not mandatory as I stated in the November 4th announcement.

Thanks to the Federation of Independent Schools in BC for this correction.

The Ministry of Education has prepared a one page infographic about opening an independent school and it can be seen here.
Is the Saanich school strike worth it?
I posted this question on Facebook - my post is shown below.

A school strike is a day care inconvenience and it brings education instability.

Good people to answer the question are Grade 12 students.

I like to point out that charter schools avoid job action anxiety.
Canvassers Wanted - Last call for this petition
If you think our school system can be gradually reformed through competition from local, non-striking, spontaneous and professionally innovative pedagogy, you can register your support for independent public charter schools as a canvasser.

The current list of five registered canvassers on the Elections BC website can be seen here.

The deadline to put your application in the mail is early on Tuesday, Novermber 12.
