Important Update: Court Ordered Visitation
The attached letter regarding court ordered family visitation for child in DSS custody was shared with county DSS directors today.
This action provides options other than in person visits for foster families and Residential Child Care staff while maintaining important on-going contact between children and their families.
We urge you to wait to hear from individual DSS Social Workers directly, allowing them the opportunity to staff cases with their supervisors and contact families. It will take time for this information to reach individual Social Workers and for them to do all the work that will be required, so please exercise patience and do not expect this information immediately.
