Forecast Update
The NWS Weather Forecast Office (WFO) in Duluth, MN (DLH) has added one new marine zone to encompass the outer Apostle Islands beyond 5 NM from the mainland.

The zone will extend from the current breakpoint between LSZ146 (Port Wing to Sand Island WI) and LSZ147 (Sand Island to Bayfield WI) out an additional 5 NM from the islands that make up the remaining portion of the Apostle Islands that are located more than 5 NM from the mainland all the way to the midpoint of LSZ148 (5 NM southeast from Madeleine Island) and then return back along the current boundary of LSZ147 (Sand Island to Bayfield WI).

My name is Elena Bangeeva-Erickson. Born & raised in Bulgaria. I first came to Madeline Island in June 1998 and what was supposed to be a one summer work & travel experience, turned into my home.
I am happily married to the love of my life Jody. (Most of you know him from his Food Truck on Main Street) & have the sweetest & kindest child, Sammy, who is in 1st grade in the La Pointe School.
We all enjoy hiking, biking, traveling, boating & eating good food!
I have a bachelor’s degree with double major in Finance & Management form UWS & a Business Administration degree from The University of National & World Economics in Sofia, Bulgaria.
I am thrilled to be joining the MIYC team as the new Accountant & to get to meet & work with all of you!
