Extremely active' hurricane season possible for Atlantic Basin
NOAA's Climate Prediction Center has issued its updated outlook for the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season.The updated outlook calls for 19-25 named storms, of which 7-11 will become hurricanes, including 3-6 major hurricanes. The outlook is for overall seasonal activity and is NOT a landfall forecast. Landfalls are largely determined by short-term weather patterns. Click here to view more details.

Mosquito Treatment
Mosquito treatment will take place Monday, August 10, during overnight hours beginning at 9:00 PM, weather permitting.
North/South Sea Pines Drive
Survey work along Sea Pines Drive continues next week in proximity to the South Beach area, weather permitting. No traffic delays or detours are expected.
Palmetto Electric Underground Boring Project
Palmetto Electric will continue to bore new electric feeders along Greenwood Drive to Old Military Road next week, weather permitting.
The bore activity (at a depth of 5 to 8 ft below grade) will be within the road right-of-way in the work zones.
Flag persons, advisory signs and other safety devices will be used in their work zones and drivers asked to drive with caution.

Serves a 1 year term
