DOGGIE DINER
Hello Everyone!
Now that 2022 has started, the staff at Doggie Diner wants to wish you the most success and happiness during the coming 12 months.
I am optimistic that 2022 will be the start of world healing. A lot of pain and suffering is behind us and new opportunities are just around the corner.
Speaking of opportunities - Things are slowly happening and we expect more progress on the Doggie Diner project this year.
We would like to welcome AMERICAN RETRO APPAREL (americanretroapparel.com) as our newest trademark licensee! Please check their website for a selection of quality Doggie Diner shirts.
I would like to clarify the Doggie Diner relationship with the San Francisco Giants / Oracle Stadium. We only "licensed" the Doggie Diner trademark for use at their Food Services. We do not own or operate these hot dog kiosks at this time.
As you know, my favorite activity is reading emails from Doggie Diner fans. I recently received this touching story that I would like to share with you -
Sending the very best to you as well.
Merry Christmas is a great memory for us.
I shall share a little story I hope you will be pleased.
On December 7, 1968, my hubby and I were married.
We had an early service and reception
and totally had planned to have a quiet
romantic dinner at Saint Francis,
knowing it would be the beginning of our honeymoon.
Our apartment was on 5th and Clement and
that is where we would spend our Honeymoon.
Being it was so close to Christmas we opted out of
a Honeymoon trip so we could buy family presents.
We decided to pretend we were tourists for the week.
As we stopped at my home to pick up my suitcases
and then on to my hubby's home to pick
up his suitcases, we made our way to our new home.
We got to Geary street both tired and hungry
and we saw the Doggie Dinner sign.
Such a cute dog, you have to love him!
We looked at each other smiled and said why not?
So we bought hot dogs, French fries and soda.
We hurried home so they would still be warm.
We rushed up to our stairs, sat on our bedroom floor
in the moonlight as we did not have electricity yet
and we had a wonderful wedding night dinner.
For years we made it up that way
to have our anniversary dinner.
Then one day it was over, you were gone.
And all that was left is our beautiful memory.
This year marks our 54th anniversary
and we always think of the shop on Geary.
Here is hoping you will return to the Bay Area,
and God willing if you do we will make sure
we are one of your first diners.
May God Bless you all,
Nick and Mary
