Ambassador Program

The NACCC has a number of programs aimed at connecting with and helping our local member congregations. One of these is the Ambassador Program and I am in the process of forming a new task team to look at how this program can be made more effective.

The Ambassador Program role is to plan and coordinate physical visits by the NACCC to all our local churches. The new task team will lay out plans for recruiting and training volunteers to make these visits. The team will also find an easier way to coordinate that these visits happen, often to help with celebrating local events including minister installations, church anniversaries, dinners, concerts and other important church observances.

If you have an interest in becoming a NACCC Ambassador or have suggestions on how this important program can be made more effective, please email me. I am always glad to hear from you.
As we commemorate 400 years of American Congregationalism we will bring you historical information about the landing of the Pilgrims in Plymouth, as well as current events taking place in our member churches.

The Plymouth 400 Committee has developed a library of bulletin inserts to share with your congregation each week for the next two years.

It is a busy time for your NACCC Board of Directors! We are more than half way through our fiscal year (April 1-March 31). The Board of Governors/Board of Directors task team is close to completing their work on reviewing and in some cases merging respective NACCC and Congregational Foundation Endowments. The Sexual Abuse/Misconduct team is working with the NAPF/HOPE group to create a single plan that we all will follow. And, plans for next year's Annual Meeting and Conference look very exciting. So much is happening, including that this month, November 2019, is the beginning of our 400th Anniversary Commemoration of Congregationalism in the United States. Gifting for the NACCC

We are all regularly asked to donate to many worthwhile charitable organizations. Our National Association of Congregational Churches (NACCC) is no different. Without the direct financial support of our member churches and other donors, the many services offered may not continue. The financial needs of the NACCC are important and necessary so we all can continue the Congregational Way.

Did you know that some employers offer to match your donation to a non-profit organization, or that the NACCC accepts contributions of stocks? Did you know that if you are 70½ years of age you can make a tax-free gift to the NACCC or Congregational Foundation from your traditional IRA account?

This time of year, we are particularly aware of giving. Please remember your church and your National Association. 
Member Church News
On Saturday, November 2, Plymouth Church in Brooklyn, NY presents Yankee Fair , a bi-annual family-friendly block party that started over 170 years ago. A portion of monies raised will go to Habitat for Humanity NYC.

Missions Christmas Needs - Deadline Approaching!
Many NACCC Missions have extra needs at Christmas time such as providing food baskets, hygiene items, toys for children and for other needs. In order for assistance to get to our missions in time for Christmas, donations must be sent to the NACCC by November 15, 2019. If you wish to help, please send a note with your check suggesting that the funds go to the Mission Christmas Needs or click here to donate online .
