Country rules this weekend!
As a lot of the polka community wraps up the cruise that featured Jodie Mikula Orchestra, Red Ravens, Dujka Brothers, and Czech & Then Some, here's your chance to check out some country dances plus attend the last dance of the Houston Chapter of Cajun French Music Association.
HOUSTON: Steve & Donna Bing (CFMA) @ VFW #10352, 6-10P. It is a potluck dinner and the chapter is providing the turkey and ham. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish and/or a dessert. Steve & Donna Bing, which is the only local Cajun band, will serenade as the chapter says farewell to 30 years of live Cajun music and culture in the Houston area.

The Texas Czech Heritage & Cultural Center in La Grange will honor the City Polka Boys, Tony Janak Orchestra, and Judge Ed Janecka at its annual Gala on Sat., Dec. 7. The event will be held from 6-9:30 pm in Pavilion Hall.
The Festival of Texas Fiddling and Texas Folklife are proud to present the 5th Annual Festival of Texas Fiddling at historic Twin Sisters Dance Hall in Blanco, Texas. The 2019 Festival features two days of Texas fiddling and dancing on Dec. 6-7.

Houston Saengerbund will present Christmas Pops on Sat., Dec. 7, at 2 pm in the Nave of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1311 Holman, Houston, 77004.
On Tues., Dec. 10 at 7:30 pm the Houston Saengerbund Maennerchor and Damenchor will be brought together by a distant Alphorn, played by Ross of Das Ist Lustig.
