100 Women in Finance's First Event in Rio de Janeiro
You are warmly invited to attend 100 Women in Finance's first event in Rio.

CEO Amanda Pullinger (via video link), will introduce you to 100WF’s history and its vision for 30x40, in which women will occupy 30% of investment and executive roles in the finance industry by year 2040. She will spotlight the organization’s core pillars – industry Education, Peer Engagement for all stages in one’s career, and especially Impact, meaning the organization’s work toward the needed demographic change within the finance industry and the life-changing professional opportunities the industry can offer to pre-career young women of all backgrounds. She will additionally discuss how women in Brazil can engage in 100WF's global FundWomen initiative to elevate the public visibility of female investment professionals as role models for the next generation, and for business opportunities.

You will be encouraged to extend the discussion and to network with other guests.

Maria Sílvia Bastos Marques, will engage in an interactive conversation with the audience, highlighting recent global economic events and perspectives ahead.

Maria Sílvia Bastos Marques
Chair Brazilian Advisory Board, Goldman Sachs

Graduada em administração pública pela FGV-RJ, Maria Silvia Bastos Marques é Mestre e Doutora em Economia, pela Escola de Pós Graduação em Economia da FGV-RJ. Exerceu diversas posições tanto no setor público, quanto privado, tendo iniciado sua carreira na vida acadêmica, como pesquisadora do Instituto Brasileiro de Economia da FGV-RJ e professora no departamento de economia da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do RJ. É presidente do Advisory Board do Goldman Sachs no Brasil, onde exerceu a função de CEO e Presidente entre abril de 2017 e abril de 2018. Foi Presidente do BNDES de 2016 a 2017. De 2014 a 2016 exerceu a função de assessora especial do Prefeito do Rio de Janeiro para as Olimpíadas Rio 2016 e de 2011 a 2014 foi Presidente da Empresa Olímpica Municipal. Presidiu a Icatu Seguros de 2007 a 2011. Entre 2002 e 2006 foi sócia da consultoria MS & CR2 Finanças Corporativas. Foi Presidente da Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) de 1999 a 2002, na qual ingressou em 1996 como Diretora Superintendente do Centro Corporativo. Também atuou nas áreas públicas municipal e federal, tendo sido Secretária de Fazenda da cidade do Rio de Janeiro entre 1993 e 1996, e assumiu diferentes cargos no Ministério da Fazenda e no BNDES entre 1990 e 1992, inclusive como diretora. Foi membro dos Conselhos de Administração de diversas empresas, entre as quais, Vale S.A., Souza Cruz, Petrobras, Anglo American plc, Grupo Pão de Açúcar, Light SA, Arcelor Brasil, Embratel Participações S.A., Marsh McLennan Companies Inc.

Amanda Pullinger
CEO, 100 Women in Finance

Ms. Pullinger is the Chief Executive Officer of 100 Women in Finance (previously 100 Women in Hedge Funds). She leads a small staff team and manages over 500 volunteer practitioners globally, overseeing the operations of the organization, which now has over 15,000 members in 24 locations. Ms. Pullinger is a former principal of Aquamarine Capital Management, where she was responsible, over a period of seven years, for managing marketing, investor relations and back office administration for two private investment funds. Ms. Pullinger is a Non-Executive Director of FlyPlymouth, based in Plymouth, UK. She is currently on the Boards of the HALO Trust (USA), the American Friends of The National Portrait Gallery (London) Foundation and serves as a Director on the Oxford University Alumni Board. She is also Vice Chair of the Women’s Network Forum and Vice President of The Brasenose Society. Previously, she served as Chairman of the Board of The HALO Trust ( www.halotrust.org ) and on the Boards of SkillForce, NYU Cancer Institute and Girls’ Prep, and was on the founding Board of 100 Women in Finance, serving as its President for two years. She is a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Ms. Pullinger graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University in 1987 with an Honours Degree in Modern History. She earned an MBA from La Salle University, Philadelphia, in 1998, and received the Academic Award for MBA student of the year as well as the Beta Gamma Sigma designation.
