State of the Town 2020

Every summer the Town of Bennett hosts a State of the Town to celebrate our community and stakeholders and to highlight current and past Town projects.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the State of the Town was held virtually this year through a series of videos.  Throughout this week, we shared videos with updates from our Mayor and Bennett staff.

We hope you enjoyed learning more about the Town and the current projects we are working on. If you have any questions, please contact Town Hall at (303)644-3249 or visit our website

Bennett Days 2020

In light of the global COVID-19 pandemic, Town Staff have been working hard to create a family-friendly event to celebrate the community while also keeping residents safe and healthy. The Town of Bennett is excited to announce several events for Bennett Days 2020, the majority of which will be held on Saturday September 12th, 2020.

This year, there will be a six-mile bike ride throughout Town. Along the route, there will be several stops where participants can learn about Town history, visit community partners and enter into giveaways. Information at route stops will be provided through a digital platform that can be accessed on any smartphone.

A virtual giveaway ceremony will take place following the bike ride. Prizes will be shipped directly to the winners' homes or can be picked up at Town Hall. Some giveaway prizes include Chromebooks, Kindles, bikes, a grill and more.

The Bennett Days parade will be a celebration of the first responders in our community. Businesses who have previously participated in the parade can register for a booth in the I-70 Chamber of Commerce Vendor Street Fair (fees apply) or provide the Town with promotional material to put in giveaway bags for attendees. The vendor submission form can be found online here.

Additional events including the Bennett Days Art Show, Stick Horse Rodeo and bubble towers will be hosted at various locations along the route. The artist submission form can also be found online

Saturday night there will be a fireworks show hosted by the Town of Bennett and the Bennett-Watkins Fire Protection District. Residents are encouraged to watch from their homes or in areas where they can maintain social distance.

In collaboration with the Eastern Plains Summer Concert Series, there will be a concert held on Friday September 11th, 2020 featuring local band Pup Morse. The concert will be held in Trupp Park from 6 - 8 p.m. Tickets are free but must be secured online townofbennett.colorado.gov or through Eventbrite.

Residents who participate in Bennett Days activities are asked to respect all social distancing guidelines and maintain six-feet of distance from those not in their household. The Town is also asking that participants wear a mask or facial covering when at trailheads, through the vendor street fair and in the Bennett Park and Rec District. Signs and reminders will be posted throughout the event locations.
