The Local Government RCMP Contract Management Committee (LGCMC) will be meeting on February 24, 2022. Local governments wishing to suggest discussion items related to the agreement under which the RCMP provides local police services to BC are asked to submit input to Bhar Sihota, UBCM Senior Policy Analyst, prior to January 21. Program aims to plant 2 billion trees

A second call for proposals has been issued by the federal government to support the planting of two billion trees (2BT). The 2BT program aims to address both climate change and biodiversity loss by focusing on two different types of projects, tree-planting and capacity-building. Interested applicants are invited to register for a Q&A session on January 19th to learn more. The deadline for applications is February 17, 2022.
