Fall 2020
Greetings Bulldogs,

With the leaves changing to reds and yellows, it is a gentle reminder that life has seasons. In this season and in this most challenging year, the Boston Bulldogs have remained connected and strong. Weekly runs have resumed in four locations with COVID-19 health guidelines in place, and we continue our virtual connections to club members through monthly #TogetherWeDo meetings, twice weekly Meditations, and with the new Coach's Corner. We have enjoyed staying connected virtually and will likely continue to do so even when we can return to live events and face-to-face.

There are good things on the horizon as we close out 2020 and head into the new year. We have been busy during this time developing a strategic plan with our Board of Directors and creating contingency plans for our programs in 2021. We're planning for a 2021 Run for Recovery and a 2021 Boston Marathon team (virtually for now), hope to resume our Giving Back Program, and to reengage Junior Bulldogs (all aligned with our commitment to wellness and public health guidelines.) This year we will also be kicking off our 5 year celebration by participating in #GivingTuesday. As we approach the holiday season we are ever thankful for the collaborative spirit and support we have enjoyed since the Club's first walk/run at the Rez in October 2015. We'll keep you posted via social media and our website.

For me as the Club's Executive Director, it's been a busy and exciting first several weeks in my new role and I can see that the Boston Bulldogs are so much more than a running club – the Bulldogs community is represented by so many kind-hearted warriors supporting each other fiercely in so many ways.

Wishing you peace and good health in this season. Stay safe and well,

Lindsey and The Boston Bulldogs Team
Happy Birthday to the Bulldogs!
October 2015 - October 2020

The Boston Bulldogs are officially 5 years old! Our first run/ walk took place at the Chestnut Hill Reservoir in October 2015. The Bulldogs community has grown a lot in the last 5 years. We are looking forward to celebrating this milestone, virtually for now and in person, we hope, over the course of the next year.

Stay tuned for more details!
2020 Marathon Team: Together We Did!
On September 12th, 11 Boston Bulldogs completed the 2020 virtual Boston Marathon as a team. Like so many things this year it was a lot of postponement, disappointment and uncertainty ...but in the end it was a test of #TogetherWeDo... and this marathon team of resilient and kind-hearted warriors stuck together through many months of training and proved once again that Together We Do...and we did!

Funds raised by the team are a significant part of our annual fundraising and support the Boston Bulldogs programs throughout the year. Please take a few minutes to read their remarkable stories and consider supporting them and the Club. Special thanks to Team Leader Meaghan for her leadership and encouragement and to Bulldogs Ambassador Jack Fultz for his coaching and support.

The Boston Bulldogs Giving Back Program
Our Giving Back Program is a community engagement initiative launched in the Spring of 2019. The program has since expanded to include the local communities that are home to our weekly runs.

While many in-person opportunities have been paused due to the pandemic, we still finding ways to help others and give back through our Emergency Relief Fund. Through this Fund we have supported Club members and families in our communities, including helping with school supplies for a family in need. We hope to resume our in-person Giving Back Program soon – stay tuned for information!
