When faced with complex global challenges like climate change, inequality, conflict and poverty, more people than ever are seeking out jobs that have a positive impact in the world. That might mean re-thinking what has been done in the past and require a bit of innovative thinking to come up with jobs to fulfill current and future needs - innovation at its finest.

Knowing what you want to do, though, begins with understanding who you are and being aware of the reality of the world in which we live. So let's start by thinking about what kind of person we want to be and align that with what we want to do. If you're interested in pursuing a high-impact career and want to learn more about yourself along the way, consider the Social Innovation Management program, led by our amazing partner organization, the Amani Institute.
What we're reading:
What do you want to be when you grow up?Remember this question? This is still a very common ask for kids today, but seldom do we pose the question of who they want to be . This NY Times article encourages us to stop asking kids to define themselves in terms of work and instead, "invite them to think about what kind of person they want to be - and about all the different things they might want to do."
