November 2019 Monthly Minutes
A Message from Child Care Aware of NH
Hello Providers,

The leaves are almost down and November is upon us. October was an active month. The phones have been busy for our Child Care Resource and Referral Outreach Specialists as they help families find child care. In addition, they are actively visiting District Offices, working with Workplace Success and doing community outreach. The Child Care Resource and Referral Outreach Specialists have been collecting and inputting the data from the 250 Program Information Condensed Update Forms that have already been returned. We appreciate everyone that has sent them in. If you have not had the opportunity to do so, there is still time. Please take a moment to fill it out and send it back to us. Thank you.

The Training and TA Specialists are gearing up for the upcoming events. Today , we are hosting the  All About the SACERS-U: A Training With Cathy Riley,  and tomorrow, we are hosting  All About the FCCERS-3: A Training With Cathy Riley. We also have the Training and TA Institute on November 7th and the Caring for Our Children Conference in Conway on November 9th . In December we are hosting two more events. The A.C.T. Series Training Day on December 7th and the Infant and Toddler Institute on December 14th . Please look below for more details about these events.

Last month, we offered the All About the ECERS-3: A Training With An Author in collaboration with UNH with funds from the PDG on October 9 th and 10 th. This was two great days of training and participants walked away with a strong knowledge of the ECERS-3 tool. On October 24 th, Vernon Mason joined us for the Fall NH Early Childhood Leadership Summit. Vernon led a lively and interactive training that had participants laughing their way to a day of relevant professional development.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for every thing you do for families and children. We hope that you enjoy this month's edition of Monthly Minutes.

CCAoNH Has a Special Visitor
On September 28, Child Care Aware of NH hosted the Caring for Our Children Conference in Nashua, NH. As part of the event, CCAoNH invited Lynnette Fraga, Executive Director of Child Care Aware of America, to introduce and lead a discussion on the documentary film,  No Small Matter No Small Matter  brings public attention to early childhood education by sharing powerful stories and stunning truths about early learning and quality early care and education . In addition to the 152 conference attendees, c ommunity members and early childhood stake holders were also invited to attend the event.

As part of Lynette's trip to New Hampshire, she was interested in visiting early childhood programs. Tracy Pond, Program Manager for the Child Care Aware of NH program and Sarah Vanderhoof, Child Development Director for SNHS, took Lynette to two of our own NH programs to view and discuss the state of child care in NH. The two programs toured were Southern New Hampshire Services Early Head Start and Labrecque Family Child Care. Lynette has been touring programs across the country and it was a great opportunity for her to see two of our own NH programs in action.
