SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dear Parents/Guardians,

Thank you for sharing your feedback and choice on the Patton Re-Entry Survey. At this time, we plan to reopen our Patton campus on:

October 19 for PreKindergarten and Kindergarten student
PreK Staggered Start: 
  • Group A will start on October 19 
  • Group B will start on October 20
  • All students will start October 21
  • October 26 1st grade and 2nd grade students

Please review the Phase II reopening options, which will run through the end of second trimester, February 5th 2021:

IN PERSON 
  • Four Days in-person learning at school, Mon/Tues/Thur/Fri
  • Wednesdays will be a asynchronous and independent activities from home; building cleaning
  • Class sizes up to 25 including adults

FULLY VIRTUAL MODEL
  • Students will attend all classes remotely via Google Classroom, Mon-Fri 
  • Families, who have opted into the virtual model, will be virtual until February 5th, 202.1

Any family, who has not completed the reopening survey, will be scheduled into the virtual model. 

As we reopen, we will implement the following protocols to protect the health and safety of our students, staff, and families:

All students and staff will be asked to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19. If they are feeling sick, they should stay home from school. 
Temperature checks will be performed upon arrival.
All students and staff members will be required to wear masks or face coverings.

Students and staff will be frequently reminded about the importance of proper handwashing. Scheduled hand washing breaks have been incorporated in the daily school schedule. No-touch hand sanitizer units have been installed throughout our building.

The health, safety, and well-being of our school community remains our top priority. We are following sound protocols aligned with expert health guidance to ensure we are doing everything we can to protect our staff and students’ health. 

The Patton campus will host a Patton Campus - ReEntry Plan Café on October 2 from 4:30pm-5:30 pm to discuss more details of Patton ReEntry plans along with information on meal services, pick-up and drop-off procedures, and busing. See below for meeting links.

MAX Book Club Subscription
Every year, LFNO encourages reading in French : Through the MAX Book Club, every year, children all over the world receive 8 books a year from November to June, for different levels. Real creation books around which your child can build his very own personal library.

LFNO Dad's Club Announcement - Work day - Oct. 8
The LFNO Dad's Club would like to welcome any new dads at Lycee. Please join us for our first work-day of the year on October 3rd, 8:00 am at the Patton Campus, where we will tackle a list of to-do items from the school. Please wear a mask as we will maintain safe physical distance.

Each book is $25 with a convenient $5 ship-to-home, bringing the total to $30. For each additional yearbook ordered the shipping cost goes down to $2.50. COMMUNITY RESOURCES
The Blue Cross Kids Marathon Challenge will continue enrollment anytime during the Fall Semester. Who will be your internal school champion?

Schools are registering from New Orleans, Houma/Thibodaux, Baton Rouge and we will award $1,000 to the school with the most participation and $500 for 2nd place. Our goal is to award 1 school from each of the 8 markets if we have enough participation in each market.

Mad Science is now offering virtual STEM clubs for the Fall semester! We hope you will join us for engaging science workshops that are sure to instill a love of exploring the world through science. Our sessions start as soon as September 21st. Click here to learn more. 
Art Camp 504 now offers Virtual After School Enrichment Classes! Classes include: Drawing, theater, dance, D&D, cooking, photography, comics, printmaking and more!

Virtual art classes allow kids to interact directly with each other and their teacher. Our small class size (3-6 kids) allow campers to chat freely and receive high quality, individualized instruction. Scholarships available!

HOW VIRTUAL AFTER SCHOOL CLASSES WORK:
Most classes meet once a week for 60 minutes and include at least 30 minutes of “zoom hang time” after each lesson. Classes culminate in a final presentation for family and friends!
