O'Hara's 2020 Auction is scheduled for Saturday, February 8 and will be  an event you won't want to miss - mark your calendar, and read below for details!

LIVE AUCTION
O'Hara's live auction is action-packed and exciting and brings equal elements of competitiveness and overwhelming generosity to the event. It routinely brings in well over $100,000 each year. Auctioneer, Chris Leach, and Emcee, Matt Hogan, will be returning to our event again this year. We are grateful for the wealth of auction event knowledge and ideas they bring and are looking forward to working with both of them again this year. SILENT AUCTION
O'Hara's silent auction contributes more than $25,000 annually to our auction revenue and is an important and exciting part of our event.

Donation Deadline
In an effort to streamline and maximize the efforts of both our donors and our auction committee, this year's donation deadline is January 17. This earlier date will allow our committee to create bigger & better silent auction packages for our event. 

Donate Early & Win a Prize
Early donations help us tremendously with our organization and set-up schedule. So, again this year, we're offering an incentive for bringing in a donation of a completed basket before Christmas Break! 

Drop off a donation of a complete basket for our silent auction by Thursday, December 19, and be entered to win! (limit: 1 entry per family). The winner will choose between 2 prize options: 10 FIP hours -or- 1 tuition raffle ticket at our 2020 auction. (These baskets are separate from class packages)

Wish List
In addition to class packages, we will continue to have a regular Silent Auction and Super Silent Auction. We count on generous donations from our families and the community to put together baskets and items to offer our attendees. 

Our Wish List is published online for individuals who want to contribute a basket to our Silent Auction but are not sure what to bring.

Class Packages
Each grade has been assigned a basket theme; lists of specific items, at many different price points, have been compiled and will be emailed out to each grade. We are asking families to participate in their class packages as they are comfortable and able to do so by bringing in an item (or more) from the list. Please contact Kristin Oeming with any Class Package questions.

Valentines
With our auction being just a week before Valentine's Day, our class sets of Valentines are always a hit with parents! Thanks to Gass Orthodontics for sponsoring this Silent Auction section for our 2020 event - we're excited to expand our Valentine offerings! If you're crafty, and interested in helping contribute to or assemble our Valentine packages, please contact Amy Londahl.


TICKET & TABLE SALES
The auction is our largest, most important fundraiser of the year. O'Hara relies upon funds raised at the auction to contribute to the operating budget of the school. Individual tickets are $100 each, and a table of 10 is $1,000. Tickets and tables will go on sale in December.


DECORATIONS
Our Decorations Committee helps transform our school into our theme for the night of the auction. There are a number of volunteer opportunities with prepping our decorations for the auction, please join us for our weekly Decorations Work Parties. Work Parties begin on December 11; click here to sign up!

RESTAURANT FUNDRAISERS
Again this year, we will be holding a number of local restaurant fundraisers to help raise money to underwrite silent auction packages. Watch the O'Hara bulletin, calendar and our social media for dates. Please help support our auction by attending and by sharing the Facebook events with your friends!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
PICKUP DRIVERS NEEDED
Volunteers  are  needed  to make local donation pickups. These pickups will primarily take place in December and January, on an as- needed  basis. If you would like to learn more or sign up to help, please contact Amy Quiring , Silent Auction Chair (541.220.9008).

DECORATIONS WORK PARTIES
It takes many hands to help create the amazing decorations that will transform our school for Auction night! Please consider helping at one of our Decorations Work Parties (beginning on December 11);   click here to sign up !
