Game Development: Choose Your Own Spooky Story
Join us Wednesday, October 9 at 12:30 for an introduction to Twine, an open source game development tool. In this class, we will explore the basics of creating your own interactive role playing game.

After learning the basics, we will try our hand at creating our own games.
Privacy 101, Zarrow Regional Library
Do you do online banking, browse social media, or send emails to loved ones? Are you taking any steps to secure your privacy online?

Join us for and hour-long lecture titled "Privacy 101: Digital Privacy and Security" at Zarrow Regional Library on Monday, October 21 at 6:30 p.m.

We will cover some basic steps you can take to improve your digital privacy and security today.
Grants, an Introduction
Are you new to the field of grant seeking? Join us Wednesday, October 9 at 6:30 p.m. for an Introduction to Finding Grants. Discover what funders are looking for in nonprofits seeking grants and how to find potential funders.

Are you starting the process of applying for a grant? Need some guidance? Consider joining us Wednesday, October 30 at 6:30 p.m. for an Introduction to Proposal Writing.
Photoshop Lab: Hoax Photos
Photoshop is a powerful software. It can be hard to know where to start. Join us Tuesday, October 22 at 2:30 p.m. as we cover the basics of Adobe Photoshop to create hoax photos.

We will use layers, selection tools, and more in this Photoshop Lab.

Tulsa Game Developer Summit, October 26
On Saturday, October 26 the Tulsa Game Developers will be hosting their second annual Game Developer Summit. This year's event will be held at Central Library.

They will have speakers from the University of Tulsa, OSU Institute of Technology, and Oklahoma City University, as well as presentations from local development studios!

It's a great opportunity to learn and connect with developers, artists, and musicians.

Want to learn more about the American Electric Power Foundation Digital Literacy Lab? Come and see what we're about!

Join us at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16 or at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29 for a Digital Literacy Lab Orientation at Central Library.

After attending an Orientation, you gain access to our computers with the full Adobe Creative Suite, digitization equipment, and more!
Lunch & Learn: Finding Customers and Competitors
Join us on Thursday, October 24 at Central Library for a review of Reference USA's powerful business and consumer databases that provide details on nearly every profit and nonprofit establishment and consumer household in the entire country.

You can use these resources to create your own custom lists and download them into Excel and as PDF files for your own use.

DIY Digitization, October 29
Are you looking to save your family history in a more updated format? Learn how you can use our digitization equipment in the Digital Literacy Lab to archive your family history projects and more.

Join us Tuesday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m. for this monthly class. We do hands-on demonstrations of Digital Literacy Lab equipment and talk about how you can use our space to accomplish your digitization projects.
Introduction to Tinkercad, Rudisill Regional Library
Join staff at Rudisill Regional Library on Tuesday, October 17 at 2:00 p.m. as they explore Tinkercad.com. Tinkercad is a browser-based tool that can be used to create digital 3D designs.
Digital Literacy Lab in the News
American Libraries and Information Today featured Tulsa City-County Library and the Digital Literacy Lab in their most recent magazines.

Tulsa City-County Library was awarded the 2019 Library of the Future Award for its Digital Literacy Lab. This award is given by the American Library Association and Information Today, Inc. annually to recognize innovative planning, applications, or development of focused patron support relating to information technology in libraries.
