TONIGHT: Aperture with Dr. Ray Barfield
6:30pm in the Music Room

W hat is death? What does it mean to “die”? Dr. Ray Barfield, professor of pediatric oncology, palliative care, and Christian philosophy at Duke, will explore these questions at Aperture next week. Are there aspects of death, of dying “well,” that can inform how we live together now? How might we die - and live - in ways that lead to human flourishing, especially as people of faith? Dr. Barfield brings extensive experience at the intersections of medicine, philosophy, and theology to assure an evening of great conversation. Don't miss it!   Contact : Carol Mansfield

Share Your Blessings, Share Your Christmas

For 43 years, "Share Your Christmas" has provided holiday gifts to some of our most vulnerable Durham neighbors. This program is coordinated by the Durham County Department of Social Services and Triangle Nonprofit and Volunteer Leadership Center. This year Westminster has committed to serving 130 people. Please stop by the "Share Your Christmas" table in the Courtyard before or after services on November 24 and December 1 to view the names, ages and wish list items, and to sign up. You may also visit the Mission Center during business hours to sign up. Recommended spending is $65 minimum per individual. Please return wrapped gifts (with gift receipt in envelope inside package) to the Mission Center by December 9, at 4:00pm. Be sure to attach the name and case number securely onto each gift. If you'd like to help with logistics for this mission (staffing the signups, sorting and/or delivering gifts, etc.), please sign up here . Contact : Amy Stanfield
