CHANGE YOUR CLOCKS BACK
ONE HOUR ON SATURDAY!!

Sunday Breakfast
Breakfast this coming Sunday, November 3, will be provided by guest chef, Mike Berry.

Our Sunday topic is on CS Lewis taught by Dave Kirchinger. We will cover his biography and his writings. If you want to do any pre-reading for discussion sake, we will cover Mere Christianity, The Screwtape Letters, his science fiction space travel trilogy (Out of the Silent Planet, Perelandra and That Hideous Strength), and the Chronicles of Narnia.

Please plan on joining everyone in Board Hall between 8:30am and 9:45 where you will not only enjoy great food but a time for fellowship.

Join Scout Troop 110 and Cub Scout Pack 274 for a Flippin' Good Time as the host an All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes & Sausage Breakfast Fundraiser
on Saturday, November 2, 9 AM to 11 AM in the Anchorage School Cafeteria.   Tickets are $8 in Advance or $10 at the door. Baker Phillips is a member of Troop 110 and would be delighted to sell you an advance ticket.

If you don't see Baker, Ann or Rip in church you may text or call (please leave a voicemail) Ann at 714-9478 to purchase an advanced ticket.

This fundraiser also helps our very own Cub Scout Pack 274 which meets monthly here at St. Luke's.

Inaugural Concert, Nov. 3, 7pm
Cardinal Brass presents a FREE inaugural concert featuring a delightful mix of music both familiar and new, with marches, hymns, classical pieces, Latin arrangements, solos, and more.

There will certainly be something to delight everyone! Cardinal Brass is a new community brass band with members from across Kentucky, directed by Dr. Joel Collier, Divisional Music Director with The Salvation Army.

Advent Wreath Making
All are welcome to gather in Board Hall on
November 24 during the 9am Faith Formation hour to festively welcome in the season of Advent by making fresh Advent wreaths.

This was such a well-received event the last few years that we have decided to make this an annual tradition here at St. Luke's.

Please contact Mother Allison OR the church office to RSVP or for additional information. 502-245-8827.

8th Annual Coat Drive
This is our 8th year participating in the Louisville Free Coat Exchange. St. Luke's parishioners have donated over a 1000 coats. We will collect new and gently used coats until Thanksgiving Day.

Please see collection boxes in the Narthex at church.
On Friday November 29th we will deliver our coats to various distribution sites in downtown Louisville. They will be given away on Black Friday from 10am until 1pm. Any leftover coats are donated to non-profits to continue the give.

We need gently used coats, hats, scarfs and gloves for all ages. Thank you, The Brotherhood of St. Andrew

St. Luke's Book Club
YOU ARE INVITED to St Luke's Book Club on Nov. 20 at 7:00

BOOK INFO: November's book selection is, Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. Host of the Daily Show, tells about his wild coming of age story during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. His memoir provides powerfully funny observations about how farcical political and social systems play out in our lives.

We invite you to join us!

The Stewardship Committee would like to thank
those parishioners who offered their homes for Stewardship Gatherings in the past few weeks- Jon and Vivian Jacoby, Mike Berry, and Nelson and Janice Toebbe.

We also thank the parishioners who came to these gatherings to enjoy fellowship and to learn about the aspirations for St. Luke's for the coming year.

Thanks also to Monica Layton and Lydia Lewis  for their time and talent in helping with food coordination, and for the design of the booklet and pledge cards for this year's stewardship outreach.
