Getting closer--update on first public draft of new Standards and Procedures
The Redevelopment Task Force met October 17 and 18 at the ATS office in Pittsburgh to review and revise the first internal draft of a proposed set of Standards and Procedures. Read more.      
 
New Self-Study Handbook coming soon  
The ATS Board of Commissioners has been busy planning for how it might best support schools as they transition from the current Standards and Procedures to new ones, if these are adopted by the membership in June 2020. One aspect of this is a major revision of the Commission's Self-Study Handbook. Read more.

ATS member schools have been asked to report their headcount enrollment numbers early for the second year in a row as part of the Annual Report Form process. Read more.

Leading amid change--women leaders gather
for strategic conversations
Attended by a diverse group of nearly 50 women from ATS member schools, the 2019 Women Advancing in Leadership Development Institute was held this month in Pittsburgh. Read more.

ATS welcomes two new staff members
Monica Laughery joined ATS this month as program assistant for initiatives and faculty development. She manages program activities associated with events for faculty and administrators. She also helps to administer research and educational initiatives for the programs and services department. Prior to ATS, Laughery was the office manager at Union Church of Robinson Township in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. 
 
Mary Boyle started working at ATS this month as a part-time business assistant. She handles routine accounting functions and helps with payroll timekeeping, provides clerical and administrative support for different departments as needed, and assists with preparing for meetings held at the ATS office. In addition to ATS, Boyle works part-time for Paychex at its Pittsburgh office.

ATS Programs and Services offers educational events and resources to assist member schools with best practices, development of peer networks, production of research, and exploration of data. The Commission on Accrediting of ATS accredits the schools and approves the degree programs.
