Due to Covid-19 we won’t be having confirmation on Wednesday nights, instead it will be on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. The first meeting will be Sunday Sept 13 and I am asking that 7th-8th grade parents and students meet together in the multipurpose room. .Contact Pastor Mark if you have questions.
The Book of Romans - Pr Marvin Henschel - South Pod 9E
Pastor Henschel is starting a new class on the Book of Romans, the 16 Chapter New Testament Epistle. The basic theme of St. Paul’s monumental work is “righeousness” - how Jesus’ perfect righteousness covers man’s unrighteousness.
Paul’s Missonary Journeys - Vicar Myron Harms - S Pod (7E)
In this study we will explore Paul’s efforts to spread the message of the Gospel to all the ends of the earth. We will also see how the challenges of Paul’s missionary journeys can help us in exploring our own opportunities to tell others about the Savior as well.
Living the Chocolate Life - Linda Hinkle - Conference Room 15E - Women’s Bible Study
Whether you’re sampling bitter nuggets of pain or sweet morsels of joy, this chocolate themed Bible study reminds you that the Holy Spirit fills us with sweet faith in our Savior and it is only He who can truly satisfy.
Young Adults (College Age + Older) - Angee Allen - Prayer Chapel
Life's Big Questions, God's Big Answers
Do you have a good answer for why you're a Christian? Why do you believe? Do you have a good defense for why you believe what you do? There is a good answer to the question of why you are a Christian. Come and think about this and more.
Weekday Bible Class Opportunities
Sisters in Christ Bible Class - Wednesdays, 9:30am - Starting September 9 - South Pod
All women of Messiah, you are warmly invited to join our weekly class. We will be studying “Be Thou My Guide” a Bible study on trusting God. This women’s study uses the accounts of nine Biblical figures to develop deeper trust in the Lord and His ways, by Margo Heath-Dupree (CPH). Sister in Christ is a wonderful way to connect with other women of Messiah for Christian fellowship and spiritual growth. If you are interested, please contact Kathy Brown.

Operation Christmas Child - Start Collecting your donations!
It’s time to start thinking about packing shoeboxes for this annual ministry. It’s a good time to pick up school supplies and other items at inexpensive prices. Our Messiah School students will be helping again this year. For a list of suppliles, go the samaritanspurse.org. Drop your donations off in the specially marked boxes located in the church Narthex or School entryway. For details and more info, contact Sue Wackerly.
MESSIAH LUTHERAN SCHOOL & MESSIAH CHILD CARE & LEARNING CENTER
Our goal is to have computers in the hands of our students (Surface Go's) and laptops for our classroom teachers (Surface 7's) as soon as possible. Since the pandemic was sprung upon us all earlier this year, this was not something we (nor our school families) had budgeted for in our 2020 budget. We will need an additional $45,360 to put a machine in hands of each student and teacher. If you feel led to make a special gift to help with this immediate need, please ear mark your check/gift: "Messiah School Technology Fund". You can also give your gift through our Realm App:
Yes! We are accepting applications for children in both our school (Preschool 3 through 8th Grade) and Child Care and Learning Center (Infant - 3yrs) More specific information can be found at www.messiahlutheranschoo.com. To request a tour or for additional info, contact Sara today.
