News for alumni & friends
February 2020
(L to R) Tauber Managing Director Diana Crossley, NADA President & CEO Peter Welch (U-M alum), and Tauber Marketing Manager Theresa Ceccarelli
Dear ,

The Tauber Institute is proud that the National Automobile Dealers Association has entrusted us with selecting the TIME Dealer of the Year, chosen for the exceptional operation of their dealerships and their distinguished community service.

The Tauber Institute faculty and staff believe the community engagement component contributes equal, if not more, value to this prestigious award. When we review the nominations, it is uplifting and humbling to see the dealers' level of commitment to their communities. Please join me in congratulating a dealer who exemplifies these qualities: Susan Moffitt, the 2020 TIME Dealer of the Year!

Pfizer is currently addressing two industry-wide disruptions: an increasing difficulty to deliver blockbuster drugs and a shift towards precision medicines for cancers and rare diseases. In order to support the accelerated delivery of a diversified portfolio, Pfizer brought in the Tauber team of Andrés Fuentes-Afflick (MBA) and Jason Ji (EGL BSE-Chem/MSE-IOE) to review working practices and enhance capacity in clinical manufacturing at its Sandwich, UK research and development facility. The project's goal:  increase batch throughput with reduced cycle times by maximizing resource utilization, thus delivering an expanded portfolio on expedited timeline.
