Park City Library As Part of Book Festival
This year's 22nd Annual Utah Humanities Book Festival is Utah's oldest and only statewide book festival. It has become Utah's signature literary event. Each year, the festival is a chance for book lovers of all types to enjoy great, literary events throughout Utah. The Park City Library is pleased to host several events! Jack Carr: 9/17, 6:30pm, Free

Former Navy SEAL and Park City resident, Jack Carr speaks about hisnewly released thriller, "True Believer." In his novel, a Navy SEAL has nothing left to live for and everything to kill for after he discovers that the American government is behind the deaths of his team in this ripped-from-the-headlines political thriller. Learn about how Carr's personal experiences shaped his writing as the book's plot is about a string of terrorist attacks. Carr has been compared to Vince Flynn and Brad Thor.
Annual Wasatch Back Local Author Night:

Meet and celebrate local authors who either live or have written content about the Wasatch Back. A reception with the authors will be held after the panel event. The selected authors are: Bonnie Bedford Park ("Brides of 1941"), Bill Humbert ("Employee 5.0: Secrets Of A Successful Job Search In The New World Order"), Carly Bennett Stenmark ("More than a Manicure: The Nail Files"), Liz Yokubison ("They're Ready. Are You?: A Parent's Guide to Surviving the College Transition"), and Beverly Hurwitz ("A Walker's Guide to Park City" and "Park City Hiking Guide").
John Branch: 9/20, 4pm, Free

John Branch is a full-time reporter for the New York Times. His feature article about an avalanche in Washington State, "Snow Fall" won the Pulitzer Prize, and he has been featured five times in The Best American Sports Writing. His latest book, "The Last Cowboys," is an intimate portrait of a Southern Utah rodeo family as they fight for their land and livelihood and experience numerous rodeo injuries, missions, and the National Rodeo Finals.
