Principal's Update
Thursday, September 5, 2019
Dear Parents,
What an exciting week we have had so far! Today we welcomed our youngest students in PreK. Thanks to our PreK teachers for the hard work they have put into preparing for the children. A child's first experience in school sets the tone for lifelong learning. It is so nice to know that your children are in such competent and caring hands.
On Friday at 9:00 we will have our first First Friday Mass of the 2019-2020 school year. Please be sure that children are dressed in their full school uniforms. Children who have gym on Friday should wear full uniform and bring sneakers for gym class. We welcome parents to join us at mass, and we hope to see many of you there.
Our Back to School Nights will be held on September 16 for grades K-5 and September 18 for grades 6-8 at 6:00. We will begin in the Family Center and head to classrooms shortly after. If possible, please try to make arrangements for children so that you are able to participate in the evening's events without distraction.
Beginning on September 12, Ms. Bryson will be offering thirty-minute sessions after school for students interested in preparing for the HSPT. Please be on the look-out for more information in your email inboxes soon.
Our Back to School Movie Night will take place on September 20 at 6:30 pm. Our HSA team has been working diligently to make this event a great success. Many hands make light work. Please consider contacting Jena Corsello if you would like to help in any way.
We are still in the process of calling applicants for interviews for the middle school science position. In the meantime, I have been working closely with our building substitute teacher, Mrs. Bode, to ensure that our middle school students are learning our science curriculum. I will communicate updates as I have them. Thank you for your patience. You can be sure that hiring a qualified science teacher is a priority for me and our school.

"For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
We don't always know the plans that God has for us. Let us continue to trust in Him and to listen to him in the silence of our hearts. Let Him be our guide.
God Bless,
Mrs. Ambrosio
