MEET THE 2019-20 AGRICULTURE COMMITTEE LEADERSHIP
The Agriculture Committee provides participating legislators a forum to engage in policy discussions and the exchange of information regarding regional successes and challenges experienced related to agriculture policy. The committee convened during the recent 72nd Annual Meeting for member conversations and engagement with topic experts on selected key issues.

Representative Lynn DeCoite -  B orn in Honolulu, Representative DeCoite has lived on Moloka'i since she was four years old. She is a third generation homestead farmer who owns and operates L&R Farms Enterprises, LLC with her husband.  Along with being a small business owner Representative DeCoite has a history of being very involved in her community organizing various events, as well as lending her voice to several organizations supporting agriculture needs. Appointed to the Hawaii State Legislature by Governor Ige in 2015, Representative DeCoite is now serving her third term representing the citizens of District 13.   Read Full Bio
 
Senator Lee Heider - Currently serving  his ninth year in the Idaho Legislature, Senator Heider has served in the Senate's Health and Welfare Committee for the past eight years with six years as its chair. Concurrently, he served on the Senate's committee for Resources and Environment,  as well as the Pacific Fisheries Task Force. He recently received a Gubernatorial Appointment to serve on the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission and currently serves as Chair of the Resources and Environment Committee.  Read Full Bio

2019 LCRG MEETING RECAP
Members of the Legislative Council on River Governance met recently for their annual meeting to share experiences, concerns, and solutions to policy challenges specific to states through which the Columbia and Snake Rivers flow. During the two day meeting members heard from topic experts about the Columbia River Treaty, aquatic invasive species prevention and detection efforts, international trade, energy generation, and fisheries management. SUPREME COURT PREVIEW WEBINAR
